What is a Link?

It is very important to know what a link to your website is.  A link is simply is your website address listed somewhere else.  Google places a very high importance on the number of links pointing to your site.  Most businesses do not know this.  However all links are not the same.  There are links that are relevant, and links that are reciprocal.  Getting one way relevant links is a huge part of your marketing effort.

 

When you have a lot of one way links to your site, Google looks at those links and assigns value to them.  This value is part of the algorhythm that they use to rank web pages.  The more links the more Google determines your authority on your particular subject matter.

Don’t get discouraged, you can get links very quickly if you know how and have a plan.  This is what the Village Navigator specializes in.
